Do I have to use Caliber Collision if my insurance recommends them?
No. In Texas you choose who repairs your car. Your insurance company can recommend a shop, but the Texas Insurance Code says it can't limit your coverage because you picked your own, and it can't tell you that you must use a particular shop, or one on its preferred list, for the repair to be covered. You can bring your car to Astro Collision instead.
Is Astro Collision part of Caliber Collision?
No. The names sound alike, but Astro Collision is a separate body shop at 9590 FM 1960 W, Houston, TX 77070. We are not affiliated with or endorsed by Caliber Collision.
Will choosing Astro Collision affect my claim or my coverage?
No. Choosing a shop doesn't change your policy or your coverage. Your insurance company still handles the claim under the same policy. The only thing that changes is who fixes your car.

What if the other driver caused the wreck?
You still choose. If you're claiming on the at-fault driver's policy, Texas law says their insurance company can't require you to have the repairs done at a particular shop. Give us the claim number and we'll work with that insurer.
