Do I have to use AutoNation Collision if my insurance recommends them?
No. In Texas you choose who repairs your car. Your insurance company can recommend a shop, but the Texas Insurance Code says it can't limit your coverage because you picked your own, and it can't tell you that you must use a particular shop, or one on its preferred list, for the repair to be covered. You can bring your car to Astro Collision instead.
Is Astro Collision part of AutoNation Collision?

Do I have to get collision repairs at the dealership where I bought my car?
No. Where you bought your car doesn't decide where it gets repaired after a wreck. On an insurance claim, Texas law lets you choose the repair shop. Astro Collision repairs every make and model, from everyday cars to trucks and luxury vehicles.
Will choosing Astro Collision affect my claim or my coverage?
No. Choosing a shop doesn't change your policy or your coverage. Your insurance company still handles the claim under the same policy. The only thing that changes is who fixes your car.
Does Astro Collision work with my insurance company?
Yes. We work with all insurance carriers, directly on the claim and the billing. We write the estimate, deal with the adjuster, send supplement estimates when hidden damage turns up, and send the repair invoice through to the insurance company.
What if the other driver caused the wreck?
You still choose. If you're claiming on the at-fault driver's policy, Texas law says their insurance company can't require you to have the repairs done at a particular shop. Give us the claim number and we'll work with that insurer.
